.~Heart@Work Update.~

As I write this blog entry, I am sitting at the Grouse Mountian Lodge in Whitefish, MT.
While driving home this evening to Eureka, MT, there was a big car accident in front of me.
I was asked to turn around to let the emergency vehicles through.

One never knows what lies before them when they wake up in the morning. I pray for the folks in the accident. I pray that no one was seriously hurt. I pray for God's hand in this whole emergency.

And as I sit here, I'd like to thank God for allowing me to live one more day:)
So what did I do with my day?
I was in Bigfork all day preparing for the auction which is on Sunday August 9th, 2009.
What is really special about the Flathead Valley right now is that it is Flathead Cherry time! Along the highway from Bigfork to Polson there are cherry stands filled to the brim with paper bags full of fresh cherries from Washington for sale.
The cherry growers all along Flathead Lake are harvesting. Soon we will all be munching on fresh Flathead cherries ~ YUM! It is a time of year we all look forward to.

The site of all the cherry stands made me think of an auction item that everyone has their eye on. Kathi Roussel donated a beautiful pair of coral cherry oxidized earrings seen above.
Please make sure to visit Kathi Roussel's Etsy store it is filled with the most gorgeous one-of-a-kind jewelry: http://kathiroussel.etsy.com/

Stay tuned to all the other wonderful items I have left to post! I appreciate everyone's patience with me getting items up on this blog. Especially the etsy artists. You have all been so generous!

I just want to encourage everyone to buy handmade this year. And buy especially from the the donating artists that are helping find a cure for breast cancer by donating their artwork to our Heart @ Work Auction which all proceeds go to the Susan G. Foundation.

PS I pray for my little mom tonight as she is fighting against this dreaded disease. Love you mom~
